The Bechtelsville Recreation Association is a recently organized Pennsylvania nonprofit, 501(c)(3) charitable organization.  Its purpose is to assist the Borough of Bechtelsville in raising funds to upgrade its recreational facilities without placing the financial burden on Borough residents.

Our first project is to install a playground on the Borough’s Railroad Street property.  The former playground at the Park was removed for safety concerns.  This has left a void in our community for our children to gather and play.  We are developing plans for future stages of improvements that will benefit residents and our community children.

We are also planning community events to gather together with our neighbors, family and friends.  Some of those events may include:
  • Community Day
  • Movies in the Park
  • Car / Motorcycle show
  • Band night
  • Spaghetti Dinner

Obviously, we are going to need your input, ideas and HELP!!!  There are many ways to help.

Volunteer – be willing to give us a hand during events and preparing for events.  Join us to plan and organize events. Meetings are the first Monday of each month, 6:30 pm at Borough Hall.  In the event of a holiday, the meeting is held the second Monday of the month.

Donations – it is an easy, tax-deductible way to further along the community recreation so all can enjoy!  Checks should be payable to “Bechtelsville Recreation Association” and can be mailed to Borough of Bechtelsville, 18 Railroad Street, Bechtelsville, PA  19505.  Checks should indicate “recreation fund” on the memo line.

Sponsorships – is a great way to advertise your business and help your local community at the same time.  And did we mention it is tax-deductible?
